The WA Brewers Association is a not for profit organisation. Some membership fees are allocated to the operational, administrative and advertising costs of WABA. The subscription year runs from July to June.

Only Brewery membership entitles a vote on matters at any members meeting or the Annual General Meeting.

Brewery Membership 

Brewery memberships focus on networking, learning and inter-connections. No matter your size or time in trade, membership helps raise the profile of your brewery and the issues affecting your business

A commercial brewery located in WA can become a WABA member. Those breweries who contract brew are also eligible.

Member benefits include:

  • Opportunity to attend meetings, networking events and education sessions.
  • Support with local and up to date industry related information.
  • Complimentary keg shipment to the AIBAs.
  • Access to WABA initiated media opportunities and brewery promotion through WABA campaigns.
  • Advocacy on behalf of members at Local, State and Federal Government levels.
  • Online listing on the members page of the WABA website.
  • Opportunity to attend the annual Beer and Brewing conference at a discounted rate.
  • Access to members only discounts.
  • Participation and voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.
  • Eligible to run for a position on the Executive Management Committee.
  • Access to the WABA members only Facebook group page

Trade Membership  

Designed for the people, places and businesses that provide essential services to the beer industry. A trade membership is the best way to present your brand to the WA brewing industry. 

Member benefits include:

  • Opportunity to attend meetings, networking events and education sessions.
  • Participation in Annual General Meeting (no voting rights).
  • Online listing on the members page of the WABA website.
  • Opportunity to sponsor events and offer members only discounts.
  • Opportunity to exhibit at and/or attend the annual Beer and Brewing conference at a discounted rate.
  • Access to the WABA members only Facebook group .

Brewery in Planning

Brewery in Planning means a person or company who is in the development stages of becoming a brewery and is not currently producing beer. Breweries in planning receive select benefits from the ordinary brewery membership.

Member benefits include:

  • Opportunity to attend meetings, networking events and education sessions.
  • Support with local and up to date industry related information.
  • Education and industry contacts.
  • Opportunity to attend the annual Beer and Brewing Conference at a discounted rate.
  • Participation and voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.
  • Access to the WABA members only Facebook group page.

Individual membership  

Individual memberships are for aspiring brewers or industry aficionados who want an up close look and opportunity to connect with the industry. 

Member benefits:

  • Education and industry contacts.
  • Opportunity to attend meetings, networking events and education sessions at a discounted rate.
  • Access to the WABA members only Facebook group page.

Cideries/Distilleries/Kombucha

Cideries and distilleries have always been closely tied with the WA brewing industry and membership gives these sectors a platform for connection and advocacy. Kombucha breweries are also welcome to join for industry connection.

Member benefits include all of the benefits for an ordinary brewery membership including participation in the Annual General Meeting (no voting rights).
