WABA is a not for profit organisation.  The subscription year runs from October to September. Some membership fees are allocated to the operational, administration and advertising costs of WABA.

Membership categories

  • Brewery Membership
  • Trades Membership
  • Individual Membership

However, only Brewery Membership entitles a vote on matters before any members’ meeting or Annual General Meeting.

Currently the membership structure and fees are under review. A new fee schedule will be available after the AGM on June 22, 2018.

The financial year for WABA will also run from July 1, 2018.

Brewery Membership 

A Commercial Brewery located in WA can become a WABA member.

Member benefits:

  • Advocacy from the WABA Executive Officer.
  • WABA initiated media opportunities.
  • Support with local and up to date industry related information.
  • Business is promoted through WABA events.
  • Enhance the breweries presence in the WA industry.
  • Able to attend WABA meetings and participate in discussions.

Trades Membership  

Venues, Clubs, Brewery Suppliers and Liquor Stores located in WA can become a WABA member.

Member benefits:

  • Support with local and up to date industry related information.
  • Business is promoted through WABA events.
  • To provide information about their goods and services to other WABA members.
  • Able to attend WABA meetings, participate in discussions and have the opportunity to talk about their services at WABA meetings.

Individual membership  

Typically individuals who have an active interest in the industry such as home brewers, teachers, students or people employed in the industry can become a WABA member.

Member benefits:

  • Support with local and up to date industry related information.
  • To provide education and industry contacts.
  • May be invited to attend some relevant WABA meetings and/or attend a WABA social event.
